Yamato is the daughter of Kaido, one of the Four Emperors in the popular anime series, One Piece. She often proclaims to be Kozuki Oden due to her admiration of the legendary samurai of the past. After meeting Luffy, Yamato decided to go against her father and be part of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance and once Kaido is defeated, she intends to set sail onto the open seas with Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates.

One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since July 1997, with its individual chapters compiled into 107 tankōbon volumes as of November 2023. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D.
